I especially enjoyed this assignment, which was to use blending to fade the background and make certain parts of an image stand out. I chose this picture of my parents visiting the Coliseum in Rome, and desaturated the background so that they popped!
This was another great assignment, for which we experimented more with Photoshop and layering. I decided to use a picture of me and friends in Florence, Italy. I made our faces stand out from the background by framing us and distorting the rest.
I thought that this coupon/advertisement assignment was a great learning experience. I got to know how to use many of the different tools in Photoshop and became more familiar with layers.
This assignment was one of our first times working with Photoshop. It was very important in order to learn about blending and text.
